Acting in a misleading or fraudulent way

At barter-spot.com, we value honesty and authenticity, and we expect our users to do the same. Therefore, you are not allowed to engage in any activity that aims to deceive or mislead others. Specifically, you are not allowed to:

  • -Misrepresent yourself or others: This includes lying about your skills, experience, or qualifications, or pretending to be someone else. You also cannot use a profile picture that is not you, or claim to work for a company or organisation when you do not. Additionally, you cannot falsely attribute statements to barter-spot.com representatives or forum leaders;
  • -Misrepresent work: You must always be honest about who is doing the work. This means you cannot let someone else use your account to work on your behalf, or claim that one freelancer will do a job when another will actually do it. You also cannot submit a proposal on behalf of a freelancer who cannot or will not do the work;
  • -Commit payment fraud: We take payment fraud seriously and do not tolerate any fraudulent activity on our platform. Freelancers cannot falsify the hours, keystrokes, or clicks recorded in the barter-spot.com app, or report time that they have not actually worked. They also cannot claim to have done work that was actually done by someone else, or demand bribes or other payments without providing services. Clients cannot post jobs with payment terms that are objectively unreasonable or demand services without providing payment in exchange.
  •

At barter-spot.com, we believe in treating everyone fairly and equally. Therefore, you cannot use our platform to discriminate against anyone or engage in any other unfair or illegal behaviour. Specifically, you are not allowed to:
